The Cam Lock CBRN High Tactility Aircrew – Cloud Leather Aviator and Hybrid Summer Flyer’s touch screen gloves have been designed to improve comfort and tactility without restricting dexterity. They feature propriety, non-permeable chemical agent warfare agent resistant tips on all fingers and thumb.

The improved reduction in heat stress and physiological burden to the wearer has been achieved in the construction and materials used.

These unique tips facilitate easy control of touchscreen devices and displays whilst providing excellent sensitive feedback on touch tactility when operating cockpit knobs, switches, keyboards, keypads, tablets, knobs, buttons etc, and to accurately use resistive and capacitive touch screens.

The Cloud Leather Aviator gloves are based on the RAF aviator type, FR Aircrew Leather Glove.

The Hybrid Summer Flyer’s FR glove outer is based on the MIL-DTL-81188C Glove, 300GSM Green Nomex III, with a Grey Napa Leather palm.

Both options of aircrew gloves incorporate a CBRN glove liner of knitted activated carbon fabric material of approximately 100/m2 in weight, laminated on both sides to a black polyamide knitted cover.

The precision touch screen tips, moulded in a proprietary material, complete the non-permeable glove construction, resistant to known chemical warfare agents to meet customer end user requirements.

Test Operations Procedure (TOP), Report 08-2-501A, is the current standard methods for permeation testing of materials with liquid and vapour chemical warfare agents and simulant challenges.
